A visionary and man of good humour, Arthur C, Clarke has left the planet he called home for the past 90 years. We briefly met during a video conference in 1975 and I will always be grateful for those funny and illuminating moments with him. A controversial force to reckon with to be sure, he will be missed by a society sorely needing his guidance,

On the home front, I continue to recover from my Dec. 15 strokes. I’ve completed the rehab at the Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital in Malvern, PA, and am still amazed that I have been able to recover so quickly.

My right-side weakness is dissipating and it feels 95% better. My speech and vision are both fine. In many ways, given the size and extent of the TWO strokes I suffered (one went undetected two weeks before the one that landed me in the hospital) and the several transient events.

Believe me when I say that I am counting my blessings. Every. Single. Day.

Thanks to work with Sandra Bain Cushman and the Alexander Technique, my right arm is now my friend and I am moving forward with my guitar studies.

Thanks for your support, concerns, and for dropping by.
